New Drift Team has UK and Europe Covered
The newest team to emerge for the 2012 drift season has just been announced. Team SkylinePart.com will compete in the 2012 Drift Allstars European Series and the British Drift Championship competitions.
The Skylinepart.com name is not new to the drift world, being a supplier of many Japanese performance car parts both new and second hand. In fact company owner and Team Principle Anthony ‘Scotty’ Scott has been competing since 2006 under the Skylinepart.com name. Now, however, things are about to be given a little shake up. Scotty and three other drivers have banded together and will compete across two of Europe’s largest drift championships – Drift Allstars European Series and the British Drift Championship (BDC) – under the name of Team SkylinePart.com.
The team comprises:
- Anthony ‘Scotty’ Scott from Hexham
- Jazz ‘Lostboy’ Williams from California, USA
- Ian ‘Bizz’ Phillips from Norfolk
- Jon ‘JoCa’ Calvert from Redcar
Speaking from the team’s base and company HQ in Hexham, Scotty said “I am delighted to be joined by Ian, Jon and Jazz to form the new team for 2012 and beyond.”
All four drivers have multiple podium finishes to their name, and Ian earned the right in 2011 to challenge in the Super Pro series of the BDC in 2012. Scotty comments,“These guys are at the top of their game and have the skills to take the team to the top step in Europe this year. There is also a behind the scenes team, the unsung heroes, who will escalate the teams exposure bringing value for money for all our sponsors. 2012 will be big!“
